Taylor Brown

Founder & Mental Performance Consultant

Taylor is an author, speaker, trained mindfulness teacher, and Certified Professional Coach. He holds a B.A. in Psychology from Brown University, where he competed on the men's D1 rowing team. Taylor was a three time Ivy League Champion, First Team All Ivy, and finished top five at the D1 Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships all four years, highlighted by two silver medal finishes and one bronze. Taylor earned his M.S. in Kinesiology from The University of Texas - Austin, during which time he competed in elite rowing. Taylor competed nationally and internationally in sculling, representing Austin Rowing Club at many events including Henley Royal Regatta and Head of the Charles Regatta.

After retiring from elite competition, Taylor coached for the women's rowing team at Texas, and then moved on to the Center for Sports Leadership & Innovation, where he served as the Associate Director. At CSLi, Taylor served high school and college athletes and coaches through developing and deploying leadership development and character education programming.

Since then, Taylor founded Enduromind Mental Performance Consulting, where he regularly coaches professional and Olympic athletes in the mental skills needed to excel at the highest levels.

From 2021-2022, Taylor served as the Mental Performance and Well Being coach for Austin’s Major League Rugby Team, the AGs. Taylor also produces the Mindful Sport Performance Podcast with sport psychology experts and researchers, Dr. Keith Kaufman and Dr. Tim Pineau.

After over a decade in high-performance sport, Taylor knows what holds many athletes back from realizing their true potential, and it's not talent or intelligence. It is one's relationship to their inner experiences like thoughts, emotions, and beliefs. Taylor seeks to empower athletes and coaches through building mindful awareness, acceptance, and aligning their actions with valued behaviors and goals.

Taylor lives in Middletown, DE with his wife, Lizzie, and their two dogs, Thomas and Bufalina.
